The Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe  was a steam train that took its passengers through the beauty of the Garden Route region as it puffed its way through farmlands and across two rivers for 52km, offering breath taking views of the Indian Ocean from every window.

It has been non-functioning since 2009, but many groups are desperately trying to get this piece of Garden Route heritage back up and running!
