EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

|

  • B. Sc. (Comp. Science) or relevant diploma.

|

|

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of professional development experience 
    |

  • Extensive experience with LAMP stack: Linux, Apache, Mysql and PHP

  • Experience with PHP MVC Frameworks (Laravel, Cake etc)

  • Experience with high-volume public websites

|

|

 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Technical:  
    |

  • Able to manage and deploy web applications into a Linux environment using industry standard command-line tools (git, Composer Phing, Jenkins etc)

  • Comfortable building and consuming RESTful web services with JSON

  • Proficiency in additional languages such as nodejs, python or ruby

  • Thorough understanding of web development technologies

  • Testing – Unit, Load & Functional testing

  • Preferably some experience with a CMS

  • Resourceful planning, organising and prioritising work skills

  • Excellent planning, analytical and decision-making skills
