If you are looking for an inspirational young man, you don’t need to look much further than Brandon Beack .

In 2012 he was a 17 year old Western Province gymnast who had his eye on competing for SA in the Olympics.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck when he came off the bars incorrectly and landed on his neck – fracturing his skull and breaking his vertebrae.

Later, he would be told that he would never regain the use of his body again – he was paralysed from the neck down.

However, this determined young man pushed hard to recover and has gone well beyond any expectations of his doctors. This was partly due to being able to get specialized treatment over seas – which Brandon feels should be made available to as many people as possible!

To raise the funds needed to bring the special equipment to Cape Town, Brandon and his family started “Walking With Brandon”, a foundation that uses donations to help those who can’t afford this very expensive treatment.
