1 cup (250 ml) tomato sauce

¼ cup(60 ml) Worchestershire sauce

3 Tbsp (45 ml) whiskey, brandy or Bourbon (optional)

5 cm knob ginger, grated

3 cloves garlic, crushed

3 Tbsp (45 ml) brown sugar

2 Tbsp (30 ml) red wine vinegar

juice of ½ lemon

1 tsp (5 ml) smoked paprika

2 tsp (10 ml) regular paprika

1 tsp (5 ml) chilli flakes

Makes about 1.5 cups

Place everything into a pot. Bring to the boil, reduce heat, simmer for 10 minutes and bottle.
