Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka has announced its 8-rider team to compete at the 105th Tour de France starting this weekend.

The annual bicycle race starts on Saturday 7 July and is one of the biggest sporting events on the planet.

Dimension Data will be riding the Tour de France for the fourth consecutive year, putting South Africa and the Continent on the map.

Doug Ryder, principal for Team Dimension Data, says the team was selected according to the course and race strategy.

He explains that the African team plans on winning more stages before attempting to win the overall international event in the coming years.
