The whistleblower from Kingdom Prayer Ministry in Soweto Sinethemba Mbuli is on the run from fellow church members.

This comes after he blew the whistle on the atrocities being done by the pastor at the church. The pastor is accused of raping girls at his church and three of them being minors.

The incident happened at one of the church branches in Chiawelo and some of the congregants are believed to have known and helped the pastor get away with this.

I was employed by the church last year November. I was like the right-hand man for the prophet.

I started experiencing bad things that were happening at the church. In December last year, they had a huge service in one of the community halls in Soweto and that was the first time I saw the prophet sleeping with a minor in one of the pastor's cars.

I have been threatened. I had to run from Soweto to KZN because I have been receiving all sort of threats on my life.

Meanwhile, the Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (CRL) says they have no power to act against churches accused of any wrongdoing.

CRL's chairperson Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva says Parliament is responsible for passing laws that will enable them to act.

We've been told by others that there's freedom of religion in this country and that means you cannot monitor, you cannot control men of God and women of God. They account to heaven basically.

Ultimately we can only cry with them and beg the powers that be to pass legislation for a peer review committee.
