CAPE TOWN - Authorities are investigating the cause of a fatal fire in Bellville.
An eight-year-old boy was engulfed by flames at a block of flats in Voortrekker Road and lost his life.
A baby survived, while two women and a man were injured.

Officials say the blaze broke out on the third and fourth floors of a duplex apartment in the Amdenhof Building in Voortrekker Road at around noon.
A woman jumped three storeys while carrying a baby.
She sustained back injuries, while the baby was unharmed.
Another woman who jumped has been hospitalised with burn wounds over 60% of her body and smoke inhalation.
A man also sustained serious leg injuries as he jumped to flee from the flames.
Fire and Rescue's Theo Layne says: “The Fire and Rescue Services responded to this building in Voortrekker Road in Bellville where there was fire on the third and fourth floor. Two adult females both jumped out of the third-floor window. One [sustained] 60-degree burns.”
