Time in the Saddle is a podcast series hosted by avid cyclist and radio veteran, Ryan O’Connor focusing on all things exciting in the world of cycling. In the eleventh episode, Ryan and cyclist, Chris Willemse Jnr talks to Olympic Cycles' Jason Lind about his cycling journey.

In this week's episode, Ryan O’Connor chats to the owner of Olympic Cycles, The Handle Bar and representative of the Giant Concept Store in South Africa, Jason Lind.

Born into a passionate cycling family, Jason recalls one of the first bicycles he received from his father and, unpacks over 80 years of history behind the family store, Olympic Cycles.

My grandfather started it or his brother, actually and him, eventually. So, it's been around since 1936. Back then, it wasn't the hype of sport that it was today... it was a bicycle shop and a locksmith.

"It's is the future of cycling," Ryan and Jason talk about the rise of electronic-bikes and why it has encouraged more people to get out on the roads.

Make no mistake... it's hard work, the only thing it's doing is matching what you're putting out in terms of your output.
