The South African Weather Service is predicting rain over some parts of South Africa over the weekend.
In a statement, the SA Weather Service reports that it has alerted the public at large regarding the possibility of extreme weather conditions expected to affect the central and eastern portions of the country.

Weather Forecaster at the South African Weather Service Kumsa Masizana says there are good amounts of rain expected to affect the central and eastern portions of the country.
She adds that severe thunderstorms are expected in Gauteng, northern and eastern Free State, eastern North West, western parts of Mpumalanga on Saturday.
There will be scattered to isolated thunderstorms over the western parts of KwaZulu Natal.
