It is being reported that a Chinese city in the South-Western parts of the country has launched a 15-hour daytime dog-walking ban. The move will see dogs banned entirely from public spaces, such as parks and shopping centres.

This is not the first time big restrictions have been made on dog owners - in Beijing, large dogs are banned from the city centre.

The new law stipulates that dogs are not allowed on the streets for 15 hours during the day, their leashes may not exceed 1 meter, and they may only be walked by an adult.

The ruling is said to have been enforced in order to curb dog attacks, as well as the spread of rabies.

Here is what Darren, Sherlin, and Sibs had to say about it.
