Folk-rock duo Bottomless Coffee Band is the next act to entertain the crowd at the 10th annual Backsberg Picnic Concerts this Sunday.

The picturesque Backsberg Wine Farm is the backdrop for the annual summer picnic series presented by CapeTalk.

Lourens and Esté Rabé are the husband and wife multi-instrumentalist duo that make up the Bottomless Coffee Band.

They play up to 10 instruments between the two of them when performing a full set.

Esté Rabé says they are looking forward to bringing peopel together through the magic of music.

The pair have been touring since the launch of their second full-length album “Anthelia” last year.

They describe their sound and what concert-goers can look forward to on Sunday, 17 February.

It's happy music but we also try and get a message out that inspires people.

We have different instruments that we use for different songs. W want to sound like a full band, but we're just a duo.

Music is so magical. It doesn't to anybody. We are just the 'spreekbuiser' for the songs, as they say in Afrikaans.

Doors open at 3pm at Backsberg Wine Farm. Early arrival is advised.

Adults over 18 will receive a complimentary glass of Backsberg wine included in their ticket price. Wine and drinks will also be on sale.

No alcohol from outside may be brought onto the premises.
