With each and every new song, it seems like BTS is just getting bigger and bigger – and whilst maybe a
year or so ago you may have not known who they are, thanks to their fanbase (the “BTS Army”) and appearances on American TV shows, such as The Ellen Show, this Korean pop group are showing no signs of slowing down.
Last week they released their latest single, featuring Halsey, called ‘Boy With Luv’ – which Carl Wastie bubbled under on the Coca-Cola Top40SA (13 Apr 2019) following Halsey’s ‘Bad at Love’, which charted at no.16.
Also on Saturday, BTS and Halsey went on to make history, yet again, as YouTube confirmed on that the K-Pop supergroup’s music video for the single had the best-ever first-day views of any music video on the site.
YouTube confirmed that the ‘Boy With Love’ video was viewed more than 78 million times in the first 24 hours of release.
Boy With Luv also drew in a whopping two million comments within the first 24 hours.
All seven songs from BTS's new album Map of the Soul: Persona, which was released on Friday, have made it into Apple's iTunes top 10 music chart in America.
