It’s become pretty normal to see Cardi B walk away with a handful of awards when she attends music awards ceremonies – and last week was no different for the rapper, whose single ‘Please Me’, featuring Bruno Mars, charted at no.26 on the Coca-Cola Top40SA with Carl Wastie this past weekend (4 May 2019).
Cardi was nominated a total of 21 times at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, which took place last week Wednesday (1 May 2019) – and walked away with 10: 6 as a solo artist and 4 as a featured artist on Maroon 5's hit, ‘Girls Like You.’
She was the second biggest winner of the night, just behind Drake, who took home 12 awards – including Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Song, and more.
Thanks to last week’s wins, Drake has now broken an all-time Billboard Music Awards record with the 12 awards being added to wins from previous years, giving him a total of 27 total awards – making it that Drizzy now has the most BBMAs statuettes of any artist, ever!
