On Thursday 30 May 2019, Monet stopped by the petrol service station to refuel her car. After a quick search, she realised that she had left her bank card at home and informed Nkosikho who was cleaning her windows, that he did not have to fill up.

Peering at her fuel gauge, Nkosikho replied, "Ma'am you can't run out of petrol on the N2. I'll throw in R100 and then you can just bring back my R100 whenever you are near again."

He then fueled Monet's car and paid for it using his own card. At no point did the petrol attendant ask for Monet's name or telephone number. He simply trusted.

Inspired by Nkosikho's act of kindness, Monet created a BackaBuddy crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to help the kind petrol attendant which has raised well over R400 thousand!

Darren, Sherlin and Sibs spoke to both Monet and Nkosikho. Listen below!
