There is no doubt temperatures have been gradually dropping over the past few weeks as we head towards winter, but this week experts are predicting that it'll be cold enough for snow in some parts of the Western Cape.

We are expecting snow this week in the Western Cape... it's going to be very light.

He says while we may see snow high up in places such as Franschhoek and even Somerset West, you'll have to travel a little further in you want to see it up close.
The only way you're going to access the snow is by going to somewhere like Matroosberg.

We're expecting about 5cm at some of the peaks.
