Yeehaa! After just one week at no.1, ‘Old Town Road (Remix)’ from Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus has fallen from the no.1 spot on the Coca-Cola Top40SA with Carl Wastie – making way for a brand new no.1 from a duet who are no strangers to number one singles and albums.

In its third week on the chart, ‘I Don’t Care’ by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber claimed the no.1 spot on the #CokeTop40CT this past weekend (8 June 2019) – attesting to the fact that the Cape loves the duet. This, also, a week after Ed released the acoustic version of the song.

Besides the beats, Capetonians also love the song for its somewhat “trippy” music video, which features a glimpse of Cape Town – as exclusively revealed on the Coca-Cola Top40SA.

Meanwhile, local group, The Kiffness, have been revealing what may have been the inspiration, or sample, for the song.

This is not the first time, The Kiffness have done big reveals – their most infamous one being with fellow South African producer, Sketchy Bongo, where they accused him of taking full samples from sample-kits but taking the credit for himself.

How to make a #1 hit single on radio... I've been doing it wrong all this time!
