If like us, you're a chocoholic looking to indulge your sweet tooth, you're probably trawling the internet for the perfect chocolate dessert – you're in luck, we've got 3 drool-worthy recipes no chocolate lover can resist.

But, first – you're probably wondering where the spices that go into your desserts actually come from! 🍫

The experts at Robertsons have ditched the bad stuff – you can now indulge in a delicious dessert knowing that none of the ingredients in their spice blends have been sourced from genetically modified sources, contain no added MSG... and, because food safety is a priority, their herbs and spices are non-irradiated and, have undergone a natural steam sterilisation process.

CHOCOLATE HOTCAKES WITH DOUBLE CREAM AND BERRIES

Prep 5 Mins I Cook 10 Mins I Serves 6 people

INGREDIENTS

300g self-raising flour
80g sugar
25g Cocoa Powder
5ml Robertsons Nutmeg
5ml Robertsons Cinnamon
100g 70% Dark Chocolate, chopped into chunks
500ml (2 cups) milk
1 egg
50g butter, melted
250ml (1 cup) double thick cream
250g mixed berries

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Sieve the self-raising flour, sugar, cocoa powder, Robertsons Nutmeg and Robertsons Cinnamon in a large bowl. Add the chocolate.
2. Whisk the milk and egg together in a medium sized bowl. Add the milk to the flour mixture and mix until just combined.
3. Melt a pinch of the butter in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Fry 60ml (ΒΌ cup) of mixture for 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter.
4. Serve with double thick cream and fresh berries.

MIXED SPICE CHOCOLATE, PEANUT BUTTER & COCONUT SMOOTHIE

INGREDIENTS

1 tin coconut milk (chilled)
1 cup ice cubes
75ml peanut butter
45ml Cocoa Powder
45ml honey
5ml Robertsons Mixed Spice

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Blend all the ingredients together to whip up a healthy protein based smoothie
2. Taste and add more honey if required
3. Lifestyle Tip: Coconut milk is a delicious milk alternative for those that are lactose intolerant

CHOCOLATE, DATE AND PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE

Prep 5 Mins I Cook 5 Mins I Serves 8 people

INGREDIENTS

330g fresh dates, pitted
100g peanut butter
10ml Robertsons Ginger
5ml Robertsons Cinnamon
10ml (2 tsp) vanilla essence
5ml (1 tsp) salt
100g 70% Dark Chocolate, melted and cooled slightly

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Line a 20 cm x 10 cm loaf tin with baking paper.
2. Place the dates, peanut butter, Robertsons Ginger, Robertsons Cinnamon, vanilla essence and 2.5ml salt in a food processor. Process until smooth. Add the chocolate and process until smooth. Press the fudge in the prepared loaf tin.
3. Refrigerate for 4 hours before slicing into squares.
