British superstar, Ed Sheeran, is reportedly very open to the idea of writing the next James Bond theme song; however, a previous Bond voice, in the guise of Sam Smith, has tipped Sir Elton John or Dua Lipa to take up the mantle next.

In a recent interview, Sam, who’s ‘Writing’s On The Wall’ was the theme track to 2015’s 007 hit ‘Spectre’ (which was the last Bond film to hit cinemas), said it’s “crazy” that Sir Elton had never landed the gig, snubbing Ed by saying that he would be keen to hear the Lion King musician’s version of a Bond song.

Meanwhile, Sam Smith’s ‘How Do You Sleep’ charted in at no.4 this past weekend (14 Sep 2019) on the Coca-Cola Top40SA with Carl Wastie, whilst Ed Sheeran’s ‘Cross Me’ charted at no.37, ‘I Don’t Care’ at no.9, and ‘Beautiful People’ at no.2.
