Leak detection specialist Allan Wilson offers advice on how residents can maintain their households to avoid plumbing issues.

He says visible copper piping with green spots and puffy or powder residue on walls are a cause for concerns and require professional inspection.

Plumbing leaks are mostly caused substandard piping or poor workmanship.
