What's
your most embarrassing moment?
My "exclusive" interview with Boy George a couple of years ago! After managing to track the man down I called him Mr George throughout the whole interview. After bragging to my colleagues about my exclusive interview with Boy George I found out that he was actually an impersonator who conned various publications with no intention to ever perform in Cape Town.

of advice you've received?
Forgive but never forget, the more you practice the luckier you get and always chew 21 times before you swallow. |
What's your secret
indulgence?
Woolies gourmet marshmallows, a chocolate fountain and Il Divo.

most?
My parents, tennis players Ivan Lendl, Steffi Graf, Zina Garrison and Pete Sampras, golfer Bernhard Langer and the queen of talk, Oprah. |
What's a typical Sunday morning
like for you?
Up at 7:00 to tee-off before 8:00 or sleep until lunch is ready!

Bio
Growing up as "Oom Kaspaas se kleinkind" it could only be journalism as a career... Born in JHB, studied at RAU and started his career at the SABC. After working in three newsrooms in JHB, PTA and Cape Town Reinard landed up at SA's first Afrikaans Talk Radio station until KFM called in 2001. Currently the PM Desk Editor and Afrikaans News anchor. If he's not in the studio you'll find him on the beach/ on the golf course/ at the movies. Reinard loves to travel (favourite city is Barcelona), but for him the best part is returning to Cape Town. |
