Crispin Inglis

What's your most embarrassing moment?
In a moment of weakness, I once stooped so low as to invite a girl to one of my varsity dances via sms. My backbone was on vacation. I need to be forgiven here. You see, I was young and naive, and she was very good looking. I was definitely aiming high. I got her number from what I thought was a reliable friend, and carefully constructed the invitation, which (after much deliberation), I sent. It was all going according to plan, until I got the courteous reply suggesting I’d got the wrong number. As it turns out, there is more than one ‘Jess’. Who’d a thunk? It got worse. I was introduced to ‘the wrong Jess’ at the very same dance. I still know her today as ‘the wrong Jess!’
What's the best piece of advice you've received?
I’m not sure who or where or why, but someone once told me that life’s all about developing relationships… In other words, you should give a hundred percent whenever you meet someone, whether it’s your lifelong hero (In my case Maverick from Top Gun), or Toothless Timmy down at the corner store asking for some change. You just never know when you’ll meet again… It’s possible I read this pearl on the back of a sugar sachet after what was probably a fairly ordinary cup of coffee. Good coffee is hard to find.

What's your secret indulgence?
Britney Spears

Who has influenced you most?
Definitely my Dad. He’s always led by example and never put a foot wrong. I think he should move into politics.
What's a typical Sunday morning like for you?
I like to start off my Sunday’s with lekker morning run – only bit of peace and quiet I get in the week. This is usually followed by a Jamie Oliver fry-up brekky made up of the finest ingredients in the province! I usually need to visit about four different stores to find the good stuff. I’m a big fan of the croissant
Bio
Cris fell into radio while studying Civil Engineering at varsity. Some friends of his hosted the Drive Show at UCT radio, and he went along one day to hang out and to see what radio was all about. As it turned out, their sports reader was off sick, and so he filled in. Since then he hasn’t looked back. He hosted the drive show at UCT Radio for a while, before heading up to Jozi to get some more training, afterwhich he landed an opportunity with Primedia. He joined Primedia and 94.5 Kfm in 2008, and says he’s just lovin it!
