What's
your most embarrassing moment?
I was invited to a 21st birthday party on a hot summer’s day. Arriving fashionably late, I confidently entered the venue with a suave strut and a dashing smile? I proceeded to the only chair available, without realising that it was a wee bit fragile. After greeting everyone at the table, I sat down…and before I knew it, I was lying flat on my back with my legs in the air. Everyone was concerned about my state, except my mother, who was in hysterics, yet still managed to exclaim, “How embarrassing!” |
What's the best piece
of advice you've received?
“Don’t act, just be” – Be yourself and discover what you are all about. If you try being someone you’re not, you’ll never learn who you really are and therefore never be able to better yourself. |
What's your secret
indulgence?
I absolutely love coffee…but that’s no secret. |
Who has influenced you
most?
I cannot single out anyone in particular, there have been so many who have influenced and continue to add value to my life. However, the support and love of my family and friends really motivate me to be the best I can be. |
What's a typical Sunday morning
like for you?
I sleep late, but make sure I’m awake by the time mom’s Sunday lunch is served. |
Bio
I am a proudly Capetonian boy who grew up in Bellville South and matriculated at The Settlers High School in 2001. Not knowing what to do after matric, I studied sound engineering, after which I started working as a technical producer at Fine Music Radio 101.3. After being forced on-air one day, I soon discovered my love for broadcasting and went on to host a weekend show, during which I studied and completed a national diploma in marketing at, what was then, Pentech. In 2007 I was granted a scholarship to further my marketing studies at the University of Dalarna in Sweden, totally awesome! Returning to Cape Town, I attempted small business as a consultant, but my passion for radio was calling. 94.5Kfm is now the place I call home, joining Ground Patrol and hosting my weekend show. I love every second of it! |
