• To manage and execute all technical aspects of the business’ web sites (including the intranet), and the digital development projects for Primedia Broadcasting’s radio stations.

• Planning, conceptualisation and implementation of digital projects;
• Researching new technologies and functionality;
• Developing digital solutions (includes applications, databases, reporting systems, interactive features, etc.);
• Project management, including work outsourced to other developers;
• Maintaining the infrastructure for projects within the scope of this role. This includes maintenance of the web and database servers.
  

• Development of new functionality, and introduction of new technologies, in line with the digital strategy of Primedia Broadcasting;
• Timeous delivery of projects and meeting of deadlines;
• Working fast and accurately;
• Contributing meaningfully towards the business objective: delivering prospects to advertisers;
• Adhering to the Primedia Broadcasting Formula.
  

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience

• Development skills – including programming languages and web development tools;
• A good understanding of internet related technologies;
• A good understanding of database systems;
• Ability to research and implement new technologies into internet projects;
• Understanding consumer behaviour in this environment and how to use this to benefit the site;
• An understanding of the business, and the role of the digital strategy;
• An inclination for structure and systems;
• Must display lateral thinking, with good problem solving abilities.
